3D Models

3 dimensional models are often a useful tool to explore the overall design and how the building affects the site and its surroundings. While this office does not take credit for this great Lodge design, Terry built this dramatic scale model to help the client better understand the structures interaction with the site and the overall aesthetics of the design. Note how each log truss is cut out separately to show the interplay of light created by the trusses on the building.  Size of base is approximately 24 by 36 inches. Model is to an exact scale. This office has completed several models of varying sizes and levels of intricacy indicated by the residential study depicted in last two photos. No design credit is taken for this home either.
