Japanese Rustic-House on the Rock, Post Falls, ID.

Big Holder

This dramatic home is situated quite literally on the edge of a rock outcropping overlooking the scenic Spokane River. The Floor Plan of this contemporary home is just as irregular as it's exterior with triangular cantilevers jutting out over the cliff. A slight Japanese touch was added in the detailing and the decorating exhibiting the owner's passion for Asian artifacts. The interiors reflect the owners whimsical personality and appears to be very random but flows well from space to space. There are no stairs in this home, a circular ramp takes you gently up to the second floor as it winds around a center kids play area accessed only by a ladder. Every corner you round you are greeted with another pleasant surprise.
This home was featured in the Summer 2005 issue of Coeur d'Alene (Idaho) magazine.
